International Workshop on Implant Complications & Sinus Lifting
The International Workshop on Implant Complications & Sinus Lifting, titled ‘Implant complications & sinus lifting Procedure’, was held at the Faculty of Dentistry at Tishk International University on September 15th, 2022. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Irfan Qureshi, MFDS RCPS (Glasgow), for Dentistry staff, external dentists, and students at Tishk International University in Erbil, KRG.
The workshop explained the possible complications facing the dentist and the patient during the dental implant procedure and how to manage those complications, in addition to simplifying the sinus lift procedure. The workshop contained two sessions:
1- A theoretical session with a live demonstration of the Sinus Lifting Procedure.
2- Hands-on Dental Implantology.
The workshop’s objectives were to familiarize the participants with the possible complications and treatments, to enable the participants to do dental implants, and to know how to approach sinus lifting surgery. The workshop simplified the principles of dental implant surgery while explaining the technique’s advantages, disadvantages, indications and contraindications and enabled the participants to perform the surgery practically.
One hundred and three participants attended the workshop sponsored by Medicine Company.
