The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq has extended its appreciation to the Board of Trustees and staff of Tishk International University. The appreciation comes in recognition of TIU’s recent high performance in the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities, January 2023 Edition, as well as in the Transparent Ranking of Top Universities by Citation.
Tishk International University has been commended for making this progress. Additionally, the Ministry wished for continued success and higher rankings in the future, and hoped to become a model institution for other private universities and technical institutes in the region. According to Webometrics, Tishk International University (TIU) is ranked FIRST among all private universities in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region in its January Edition 2023. Further, TIU has maintained its third position among all Kurdistan Region universities, but has risen to rank 15 among all Iraqi universities. TIU is now ranked 3166 on a global scale, compared to 3333 in August 2022.
Further, Tishk International University has been ranked FIRST among private universities in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region based on the TRANSPARENT RANKING: Top Universities based on Citations in Top Google Scholar Profiles for January 2023, 5th among public and private universities in the Kurdistan Region, and 20th among Iraqi universities based on citations.
