Dental examination and fluoride application at Mam Zawa Refugee Camp On Wednesday, November 9th, 2017, Mam Zawa was visited for the second time by the Pedodontics Department of the faculty of Dentistry. The visit included Pedodontic department staff and 5th-year dental students. While at the camp, dental examination, as well as fluoride application, was performed on the children. Camp administration appreciated the work put forth by Tishk International University staff and students and those involved will receive certificates and awards for their hard work.

On November 1st from 9:30 am until 12:30 pm, the head of the Pedodontics department, Dr. Bushra as well as a group of dentists from Tishk International University in cooperation with TDH-Italy Mamzawa community center attended MamZawa Camp. The purpose of their visit was to assess the parents' knowledge of oral health in the camp through questionnaires and to prepare the families for future visits by dental students where their children's oral health will be examined.

Tishk International Dentistry organized a seminar program by inviting respected and reputable Assoc. Prof. Dr. Raid Sadda (DDS, MS, MFDRCSI), who works in New York University-USA. This lecture topic was “Surgcal mplant complcaton/ etology and management”. We would like to thank Dr. Raid Sadda for this successful and educative seminar.

Faculty of Dentistry lecturers, Dr. Bushra Rashid, Dr. Alaa Muayad, and Dr. Huda Yaser, Ms. Rozhan Arif, and a number of students, Parwa Khalil, Lava Sabir, Halaz Muhammed, Dlovan Talaat, Ilaf Ghaz, and Mujda Koyi, visited the camp of Syrian refugees in Koshtappa-Erbil under the supervision of the charity club of Tishk International University. The aim of the visit was to give information to the women who live in the camp. Three seminars were given by our faculty lecturers.
