Muslims take this day as an opportunity to honor their beloved prophet and highlight his significant achievements and teachings, and his virtuous character. His teachings still continue to influence believers and instill them with the will to follow the path of righteousness. Each country and community celebrate this day differently. Some celebrate the occasion by organizing events, offering prayers, and exchanging gifts. Others celebrate this day by preparing special meals at mosques and at home with friends and family. In many communities, particularly in the Middle East, streets are often decorated with lights, and food and sweets are distributed to the public.
