On October 17th,2023 the Dean of Students Office at Tishk International University arranged a farewell ceremony for the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry Dr. Duran Kala. The ceremony was prepared for the purpose of expressing the faculty’s deep appreciation for the countless contributions of Dr. Duran Kala, who sadly departed from Faculty of Dentistry in October 2023.
The ceremony consisted of several speeches from senior faculty members and the Dean of Students. Dr. Jabbar Hussein was first to deliver a speech thanking Dr. Duran and expressing his appreciation for his valuable work and warm friendship. A second speech was delivered by Dr. Omar Naqshbandi, who warmed up everybody’s hearts with his words and thoughts regrading the farewell of Dr. Duran Kala. A last speech was given by Dr. Muhammad Abdulghani, dean of students Director, together with handing a plaque of appreciation from dean of students.
During the ceremony, two were played. The first video covered the topic of ‘to what extent do you know Dr. Duran‘. The second video featured the contributions of Dr. Duran to the Faculty of Dentistry since his presence and a thank you message from all the staff to Dean of Faculty of Dentistry at the end of the video. The ceremony also consisted of appreciation gifts from TIU staff to Dr. Duran and his family, and the event was closed by a very touching and sincere speech from Dr. Duran Kala himself.
A last memory was created for all, and everyone expressed their gratitude to Dr. Duran. It is always sad to say goodbye to sincere and hardworking faculty staff such as himself, an exceptional member of the dentistry family. We wish him a bright future and we hope that a happy, successful life awaits ahead of him.
