Erbil, Iraq – On January 23rd, 2025, the Faculty of Dentistry at Tishk International University (TIU) successfully organized a specialized workshop on Precision Implantology at the Erbil-Sheraton Hotel. The event attracted 51 participants, including dental professionals, faculty members, and students eager to enhance their expertise in implantology.
The workshop featured three distinguished speakers, each contributing valuable insights:
- Dr. Qubais Alassaf, PhD (Tishk International University), who presented on minimizing crestal bone loss from a prosthetic perspective.
- Dr. Hundren Mohammadali, PhD (Hawler Medical University), who shared insights on avoiding loose implants by increasing primary stability.
- Dr. Ranj Azad, PhD candidate (Hawler Medical University), who discussed the fundamental principles of digital surgery in implantology.
The primary aim of the workshop was to enhance participants’ knowledge and skills in modern implant dentistry techniques. The event effectively combined theoretical lectures with hands-on demonstrations, providing attendees with both valuable knowledge and practical skills essential for contemporary implant dentistry. The interactive sessions allowed participants to engage directly with experts, ask pertinent questions, and refine their clinical approaches.
The workshop was organized in collaborative partnership with Dayyan Meddent, marking a significant step in advancing dental education and practice in the region. The Faculty of Dentistry at Tishk International University continues to demonstrate its role as a leading institution in fostering innovation and excellence in oral health sciences.
