Faculty of Dentistry at Tishk International University (TIU) arranged four welcome ceremonies for stages 2,3,4 and 5 dentistry students as a welcome to their new semester. The ceremonies were held between 4th November to 12th, November2024. The events were supervised by the Dean of Students Office Representatives and Class Advisors of each stage. Around 230 students participated in those ceremonies.

At each ceremony, class representatives of each stage formally introduced attendees to the committee members and the respective class advisors. They briefly outlined the deanery’s role within the faculty. Additionally, the representatives delivered a speech emphasizing the significance of engaging in social activities and being productive beyond the confines of studying dentistry. They acquainted the students with various social and club activities offered by the university, underscoring the responsibility incumbent upon every student as a member of the Tishk International University family, particularly within the Faculty of Dentistry.Class advisors also shared their personal experiences during their academic lives and advised the students with patience and hard work.

To facilitate improved communication between students and academic staff, the Class Advisors for each stage were also introduced. Furthermore, Dean of Students Committee’s projects and activities within the Faculty of Dentistry were explained, aiming at familiarizing students with the committee’s annual achievements.

The ceremonies featured a traditional Kurdish lunch, fostering an atmosphere of camaraderie and affection among students. This setting provided an opportunity for participants to forge stronger connections, get to know one another better, and enjoy a period of relaxation together.
