In the 29th of November 2023, the Dean of Student Representatives at the Faculty of Dentistry at Tishk International University (TIU) participated in the Food Fundraising and Community Service Projects Introduction Day. This annual event is organized by the Deanery of Students at TIU. The food fundraising was arranged to help fund this year’s community service projects. The Faculty of Dentistry participated with five tables offering food, sweets, and pastries, brought or handmade by the students. Our students worked diligently to conduct the project effectively and gather as many donations as possible to support the cause.
The event aimed to provide help and support to those in need, conveying our understanding and care towards their situation. It was an effort to raise awareness that we may find ourselves in similar circumstances one day. Furthermore, we intend to enhance the sense of service and empathy towards humanity, highlighting to the university’s community the importance of selflessness and living a life of service.
The Community Service & Clubs Introduction was also held on the same day, organized and supervised by the Dean of Students Office. It showcased the social activities of each department throughout the year. The Faculty of Dentistry prepared two stands with photographs explaining each activity. Some of the projects have already been accomplished, while the remaining social activities are ongoing until the end of the academic year. The importance of participating in social activities is consistently emphasized at TIU, and our students are encouraged to be proactive in such initiatives.
Social activities play a significant role at Tishk International University, garnering appreciation from both foreign and domestic visitors. It is important to acknowledge that the success of such projects relies on the dedication and intelligence of our team. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our students and staff; without them, these successful activities would not be possible.
We at Tishk International University would like to thank all our partners and beloved students who participated in this important humanitarian project. We look forward to carrying out more projects in the future.
