On February 13th, 2025, the Faculty of Dentistry at Tishk International University (TIU) organized a significant white coat ceremony for its first-grade students. The event, supervised by the Dean of Students’ Committee, was attended by all faculty doctors and staff.
The ceremony commenced with a speech from Dr. Idris Hadi, Head of the Board of Trustees, followed by a speech from the President of Tishk International University, Dr. Sultan Abu Orabi. Dr. Orabi discussed the university’s commitment to education and its support for students in achieving their academic dreams. Dr. Omar Jafar Naghshbandi, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, then congratulated and welcomed the new students, highlighting the faculty’s outstanding academic achievements.
A motivational speech was delivered by Trivan Sami, a graduate who ranked second in her class. She shared her personal journey, emphasizing the importance of dedication and hard work. She encouraged the new students to have confidence, never give up, and view every challenge as an opportunity for growth.
The ceremony’s highlight was the pledge recitation led by Dr. Alisher Babakuliyev, Head of Departments in the Faculty of Dentistry. He guided the students in taking the oath of dentistry, where they pledged to commit themselves to placing patients before all else and to foster their academic, spiritual, ethical, and intellectual growth.
In the presence of the teaching staff and other university doctors, each group of students was invited to the stage for a group photo with their seniors. The ceremony concluded with the cutting and distribution of a celebratory cake, fostering a joyful and communal atmosphere. The students enjoyed a memorable time together with their teaching staff and university management.
