The annual Food Fundraising project, organized by the Deanery of Students at Tishk International University (TIU), was dedicated this year to supporting patients in need of treatment at Nanakali Hospital. The project’s main aim was to raise awareness and provide financial assistance.
The fundraising event took place on April 29th, 2025. The Faculty of Dentistry participated with four tables laden with food, sweets, and pastries, which were either brought or handmade by students and supervised by members of the Dean of Students’ committee. The project saw a great contribution from first-grade students as part of their Interpersonal Dynamics and Character Building course (IDCB), supervised by their lecturer, Miss Zainab Hasan.
The first-grade students worked hard and successfully raised a total of nearly 1,155,000 IQD. On May 11th, 2025, ten students, accompanied by their supervisor Miss Zainab Hassan, personally delivered the donations to Nanakali Hospital.
The project’s objective was to provide financial aid and show empathy toward the patients’ situation, fostering a sense of service and sympathy for humanity among the students. It highlighted the importance of giving and putting others before oneself.
In conclusion, the successful implementation of this project was a testament to the powerful spirits and hard work of the entire team. The university expressed sincere gratitude to all the students and staff who participated in this important humanitarian project and looks forward to continuing such work in the future.
