On February 1st and 2nd, 2023, three groups of students from Baghdad Ishik Primary, Secondary, and High School visited the Faculty of Dentistry at Tishk International University (TIU) with the aim of acquainting themselves with the campus, its various departments and specialties, as well as interacting with university staff, clinics and laboratories. Over the course of two days, a total of 65 students were warmly welcomed and escorted around the campus by Mr Yusuf Sidiqq, Miss Lavin Kawa and Miss Sara Salim, Representatives of the Dean of Students, who introduced the students to the various responsibilities of each department.
It is crucial to empower the younger generation and lead them towards a successful academic future. By introducing primary, secondary, and high school students to college life, we can better prepare them for their future academic endeavors and provide them with insight on what lies beyond their schooling years. This event was designed to assist young individuals and potential university students in the process of choosing which university to attend and what majors to select. Campus visits like these can aid in making informed decisions and provide reassurance that choices made will not be regretted in the future.
