Back to School Project for Baharka Primary School
On September 1st, 2022, the Dean of Students Office at Tishk International University started meeting with Perozi Foundation (a charity-focused organization) to set a plan for providing stationery for Baharka Primary Students. This was supervised by Dr. Zainab Yalman, the Director of Social Affairs and Guidance, and on the same day, an online meeting was held with one of the teachers at the Baharka Primary School to determine the exact needs of the students and their number, gender and ages so as to buy the stationery accordingly.
Between September 2nd and September 5th, 2022, under the supervision of the Dean of Students Office, the Faculty of Dentistry at TIU began collecting donations for buying the required school stationery.
On September 6th, 2022, all the stationery required was bought by Perozi Foundation for Charity work, which included:
1- School bags (different for boys and girls).
2- Notebooks (subject notebooks and drawing notebooks).
3- Pencils, pens, sharpeners, and erasers.
4- Colouring pencils and pencil bags for each student.
On September 7th, 2022, one of the teachers of Bahrka School volunteered to take the stationery and distribute it with the help of other teachers to the students in Baharka School. We appreciate their efforts and thank them on behalf of the Faculty of Dentistry.
On October 4th, 2022, a second online meeting was held with the school teachers to identify any other needs of the students at the Primary Baharka School. The school mentioned their need for winter school clothing, which the Dean of Students at the Faculty of Dentistry had decided to provide before or within the winter season.
