On May 25th, 2021, the Faculty of Dentistry of Tishk International University arranged a national seminar entitled “Basic Tips in Dental Implantology”, attended by Dr. Idris Hadi Salih, Head of Board of Trustees, Dr. Duran Kala, Dean of Faculty of Dentistry, Dr. Lezan Dawood, Polyclinic Manager, Dentistry Faculty staff and students, and Dentists of different specialties.
The seminar was presented by Consultant Prof. Dr. Othman Abubakir, Ph.D., Head of Maxillofacial & Implantology Department in Rizgari Hospital & Head of Oral Surgery and Oral Medicine Department in College of Dentistry, HMU, and Dr. Rebuar Fadhil, Msc, Oral & Maxillofacial Radiologist, Faculty of Dentistry, Tishk International University.
Dr. Idris Hadi started the event with a speech in which he welcomed the keynote speakers and the participants, thanked the Dentistry Faculty for arranging such important and informative academic events for dentists and students, and appreciated the continuous achievements and developments that have established one of the most outstanding faculties in the region.
The first session was presented by Dr. Othman Abubakir, who discussed the surgical procedure of Dental Implantology and explained tips to attain more successful results. The second session was presented by Dr. Rebuar Fadhil, who focused on the treatment planning and the most recent diagnosing strategies that must be used to achieve the best outcomes and avoid complications.
The final stages of the seminar involved a scientific competition for the participants using ‘’Kahoot Online Quizzes’’ and gifts were given to the top three winners.
