On 7th March,2019. Fifth grade dental students prepared an invitation for Head of Trustee Dr. Idres Hadi, Vice President, Deanery, and Directory of Dentistry Faculty in the meeting hall at Dentistry building for vivid lunch.They all together enjoyed the meal and had a nice time, at the end of the lunch Dr. Idres Hadi had his speech for the 5th grade Students and gave them some lifetime advises for the work life.
On 3rd March, 2019. Dentistry Faculty of TIU arranged vaccination for 4th and 5th grade students as well as for staff members. The vaccination was for hepatitis B, which is one of the most common types of hepatitis. The aim was to protect the students and the staff against hepatitis B infection and complication.
On 26th February, 2019. Dentistry Faculty Deanery of TIU organized a meeting for freshmen parents. Dr. Duran Kala (The Dean of Dentistry Faculty) had a speech to parents and remind them that we are all a family under TIU from work. During the meeting a seminar was prepared regarding the aims of the meeting that were to enhance the parents knowledge about scientific and social activities that are organized by our staff. At the end of the meeting they had a tour in faculties departments and labs.
Dentistry Alumni Reunion of Tishk University was held on 22nd of February, 2019. The event was honered by the presence of Dr. Duran Kala ( Dean of Faculty of Dentistry), Dr. Aliser( Vice Dean), Dr. Lezan Dawood (Polyclinic Director), and Dean of students (Mr. Fatih). According to our scientific activity Law department prepared a seminar in Dentistry for our staff lecturers and show them their responsibility in the country under the law. On Thursday 12-18-2018 in hall-4 at 4:00 pm in Dentistry building a seminar held by Dr. Imad Fattah who is a lecturer in law department, about the responsibility of penal for Medicine Doctors, in penal law Iraqi code no: 111 for year 1969 mentioned to several crimes conducted from doctor’s additional point disciplinary punishment. He will face it and all doctors have to obey the laws and regulations.
Faculty of Dentistry, Tishk International University announces a new facility for the postgraduate and undergraduate students which is Laser Machine (Biolase). Dentistry Faculty of Tishk International University is considered the first University in Erbil city to have Dental Laser Unit that provides better prognosis and treatment outcomes because it’s minimally invasive with less bleeding, comfortable with less pain, and patient friendly.
On the 18th of December of 2018, a group of students from the Dentistry faculty of Tishk International University, under the supervision of Dr. (Sura salim) and Dr. (Alaa Abdulkarim ) visited the water bureau in Erbil City. Once there, the students set up camp and began to do dental check ups for the employees. The group of students were able to diagnose the oral issues of the employees, educate them on the importance of dental health, and supply them with equipment necessary to maintain a good dental hygiene. On 13th and 14th of December, 2018 an annual conference of Dental Implantology has been organized at Erbil Dedeman Hotel which was supported by Rizgari Teaching Hospital and sponsored by Roott Company. In this seminar 500 Dentists have been participated and 20 speakers have been participated all around the world, Dr. Rebuar Fadhil, Dr. Wala Almola, Dr. Reka Ramiz, and Dr. Muhammed Younis from Tishk International University, Faculty of Dentistry have participated as main speakers there. The purpose of the seminar was discussing about recent technology and innovation concerning Dental implantology.
Dentistry Faculty of Tishk International University welcomed primary School students of Ronaky, Brayati and Gullan schools from 29th of November till 6th of December more than 300 students have attended, Periodontal staff examined the students and gave them clear instructions and motivations for regular Oral health Care . After that the Primary students had a tour in the University and visited all the departments for enhancing the to have an interest in Dentistry Faculty.
