On 4th May, 2019 Dentistry Deanery of TIU invited all Dentistry staff forlunch in the Garden of Tishk International University. The invitation was forthe staff and their families too. They all enjoyed their time and had a nice meal together.
On 30th April, 2019 A breakfast invitation in meeting hall of Dentistry Faculty of TIU was Arranged by our staff (Research Assistants) Dr. Sara Bahram and Dr. Huda Shamil also some other research assistants participated in the organization. All the staff of Dentistry Faculty had attended, there Dr. Duran KALA, Mr. Vice Dean Ercan Sezer and Prof.Dr. Jabbar Hussien had their speach to the staff. They all enjoyed their time and had a nice breakfast together.
A national workshop under the title of (The use of interactive lecturing tools and their application in education) was held by the professional dentist (Dr. Shaho Ziyad ) on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 for TIU / Dentistry faculty academic staff. In this workshop, the last updates in the technological applications that are used for education were introduced to the academic staff and the speaker asked the participants to use their smart phones and laptops for live demonstration and practicing the applications together. On 22nd of April First discussion of higher education proposal of Dentistry faculty was held by Dr Hezha one the master candidates of conservative department, under supervision of master joint program committee, that was made of Dr. Bassam Karim (lecturer), Dr. Diyar Khalid (Assist Prof.), Dr. Raid (Assist Prof.) , and Dr. Nofel Zakariya (Assist Prof.) . This scientific panel was in dentistry faculty / Tishk International University.
On 11th of April a seminar under the title of (An impact of digital technology information on health and social care system among cardiovascular patients) for 3rd grade students of dentistry faculty by the international speaker Dr. Slawomir Chomik from Poland.
Presidency of Tishk international university , dentistry faculty started building a new section specifically allocated for higher education . It consists of (20) dental chairs with (3) lecturer halls and Dental X-ray machine. Its expected that this facility with all the equipment to be available for serving the higher education candidates in 3 months .
On 11th -14th of April, Dr.Lezan Dawood ( Polyclinic Director ) and Dr. Rebuar fadhil ( Chief of master unit ) of Tishk international University / faculty of dentistry attended IDEX Istanbul, which is one of the world’s three biggest trade fairs in oral and dental health field and the only international event of the Turkish dental industry, 1100 brands from over 300 companies participated in this exhibition. The purpose of attending to this exhibition is to make new contact with companies for purchasing dental equipment’s, educational dental unit and phantom lab. for newly construction master unit program and for new dental hospital project. A national Workshop under the title of (Direct and Indirect veneer) was held by the professional dentist (Dr. Alan Qassab) on Saturday, April 13, 2019 for the 4th-grade students which was sponsored by the (Smile infinity) center. In the workshop, direct veneer, indirect veneer restoration techniques, how to deal with difficult cases, indications and contraindications of veneer were discussed.
On 11th and 12th of April, 2019 1st International Dental Conference of Al-Noor University which is an annual conference has been organized at Erbil city in Erbil International Hotel. In this conference, Dr. Nofel Zakaria, Dr. Wala Almola, Dr. Nithin Kumar, and Dr. Vinot Kumarfrom International Tishk University, Faculty of Dentistry had participated as main speakers there. The purpose of the conference was discussing about recent technology and innovation and updates concerning Dentistry field.
On 10th April, 2019 The delegates of global replacement company Mr. Ravi TEJA (Head of business department), Mr. Srinivas Nagalla (Director) and Jose Thomasd (General Manager) paid a visit to Dentistry Faculty of TIU. This company provides Indian lecturers for the Faculties all around the world. They made a tour in the Faculty then later on they discussed with the dean of dentistry faculty (Dr. Duran Kala) about future collaboration and usage of new technologies in dentistry.
