A seminar under the title (Minimally invasive composite restoration) held by the international speaker from Republic of Iran  Assit. Prof. Dr. Ali Yazdan executive director of Iranian dental association, in Tishk International  University Faculty of Dentistry on Wednesday November 14, 2018 for academic staff and students. It was discussed how to treat tooth with atraumatically approaches, and how to face difficult cases. There was a high interest in seminar, Dean of Faculty (Dr.Duran kala) , polyclinic director ( Dr.Lezan Dawood ) and many specialists dentists from outside were attended in the presentation.

On November 11 , Periodontics department visited Brayati Kindergarten. The Polyclinic director of dentistry faculty Dr.Lezan Dawood, head of Pedodontic department Dr. Bushra Rashid and the department staff participated in the visit, the visit was for dental examination and giving motivation to the kindergarten’s children. Also color-printed dental care instructions were given to the children so that their parents can read it and be aware about their children's oral health .

A Workshop under the title of (Laser applications in dentistry) was held by the professional surgeon (Dr. Alan Haydar Qassb) in the Smile infinity center on Saturday, November 10th, 2018 for the 5th-grade students which was sponsored by the Smile infinity center. In the workshop the last updates of laser, its techniques, how to be used, how to face difficult cases, indications and contraindications were discussed. A national seminar under the title (Drug prescription for newly graduating dentists) was held by Dr. Farman Hamad Ameen Hamad who is the head of Erbil training center/ Oral and maxillofacial medicine/ Kurdistan board of medical specialties, he is also Oral and maxillofacial specialist/ Oncology center/ Rzgari teaching hospital. The seminar was held at Tishk International University faculty of Dentistry on Tuesday, 06th November, 2018. The seminar discussed about drug prescriptions such as analgesics, prophylaxis, and antibiotics how to prescribe them, in what cases, and their required doses.

On 31st of October, a group of 5th grade students of Dentistry faculty organized a visit to infirmary with their supervisor Prof. Dr. Omar Jaafar Nakshbandi. In this visit they gave oral health care instructions and motivations to residents in the infirmary, Also some Small gifts were presented to them which were sponsored by VITIS company. The students had kind and nice conversations with the residents in the infirmary in order to give them some sort of motivation since they are not getting enough visitors. On 31st of October, 40 students from Tishk International University faculty of Dentistry attended an awareness seminar under the title of " Breast and Breast Tumors" which was held at CMC hospital by Pena Center. The seminar was presented by the Professor Dr. Jamal Ghafour, he  discussed about the different types of benign and malignant tumors that may affect human breast. The aim of the seminar was to enhance awareness about breast cancer, which is wide spread in our region. Faculty of Dentistry organized a comprehensive dental implantology course that included a series of seminars and workshops during September 1st, 2018 and September 1st,  2019. In August 2018, the first module of (CDIC) implant course has launched, starting with an opening speech by Dr.Idris Hadi, Head of Board of Trustees of Tishk International University, who highlighted the importance of these international courses and how the university supports such activities. July 1, 2018 Dentistry Faculty  is organizing  experimental courses for the Iraq Biology Olympiad team on the date of July 01- 12, 2018, upon the request of Ronaky Hawler Educational Company. The International Biology Olympiad (IBO) is a yearly Biology competition for secondary school students, who are winners of their respective National Biology Olympiad. Their skills in tackling biological problems, and dealing with biological experiments are tested. The selected students from different part of Iraq is participating  experimental courses that are required by the International Biology Olympiad.
