A seminar about the students ethics in the college On 8th April, 2019 a seminar was presented to First grade students under the title of “ Students Ethics in the College” by Miss Kashan ( The Representitive of Dean of Students). The aim of the seminar was to improve the freshmen knowledge about the college, and skills of being good listener n the lectures.
On 8th April, 2019 Students from Cihan high school with their teachers visited Dentistry Faculty of TIU. They had a tour in all departments and laboratories. The doctors from each department gave them brief information about clinic. The students and the teachers were pleased by the visit and the hospital of Dentistry Faculty.
A Workshop under the title of (Make posterior restorations fast and easy) was held by the professional dentist (Dr. Ali Al-Qrimli) on Saturday, March 30 , 2019 for the 5th-grade students which was sponsored by the 3M company. In the workshop, the last updates of restoration techniques, restoration materials and how to be manipulated, how to face difficult cases, indications and contra indications of using different materials were discussed. On 28th and 29th of March, 2019 Second International Duhok Dental Conference which is an annual conference has been organized at Dohuk city in Culture conference hall. In this conference, Dr. Nofel Zakaria, Dr. Wala Almola, Dr. Omer Sabah, Dr. Vinot Kumar and Dr. Nithin Kumar from International Tishk University, Faculty of Dentistry had participated as main speakers and presenters of workshop there. The international Women’s Day was celebrated at Tishk International University, where Dr. Idris Hadi Head of Board of Trustees and President of TIU gave an opening speech about Women’s day and history of March 8, followed by a speech presented by Ms. Soma Abdulsalam KareemDirector of Gender Equity Center at Tishk International University. March 8 is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women, They day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender equality. On 7th March,2019. Fifth grade dental students prepared an invitation for Head of Trustee Dr. Idres Hadi, Vice President, Deanery, and Directory of Dentistry Faculty in the meeting hall at Dentistry building for vivid lunch.They all together enjoyed the meal and had a nice time, at the end of the lunch Dr. Idres Hadi had his speech for the 5th grade Students and gave them some lifetime advises for the work life.
On 3rd March, 2019. Dentistry Faculty of TIU arranged vaccination for 4th and 5th grade students as well as for staff members. The vaccination was for hepatitis B, which is one of the most common types of hepatitis. The aim was to protect the students and the staff against hepatitis B infection and complication.
On 26th February, 2019. Dentistry Faculty Deanery of TIU organized a meeting for freshmen parents. Dr. Duran Kala (The Dean of Dentistry Faculty) had a speech to parents and remind them that we are all a family under TIU from work. During the meeting a seminar was prepared regarding the aims of the meeting that were to enhance the parents knowledge about scientific and social activities that are organized by our staff. At the end of the meeting they had a tour in faculties departments and labs.
Dentistry Alumni Reunion of Tishk University was held on 22nd of February, 2019. The event was honered by the presence of Dr. Duran Kala ( Dean of Faculty of Dentistry), Dr. Aliser( Vice Dean), Dr. Lezan Dawood (Polyclinic Director), and Dean of students (Mr. Fatih). Dr. Duran, Dean of Dentistry Faculty, gave a short speech and welcomed the Alumnies warmly.
