On 24th May 2023, the Dean of Students office at Tishk International University‘s (TIU) Faculty of Dentistry distributed appreciation certificates for the students who participated in the Spring Festival held on March 8th 2023. The certificates were distributed by the Director of Social Affairs and Guidance, Dr Zainab Yalman.
The festival aimed to raise awareness about women empowerment and define the outstanding role of women in all the countries and fields around the world. The festival also focused on promoting the message of peace and coexistence among countries and nations. It comprised tents representing countries, scientific tents from TIU departments, tents of alumni start-up business owners, tents of NGOs for the disabled, four nations including Kurdish, Arabic, Turkmen, and Christian, and other tents for food fundraising, art exhibitions, and many entertainment games.
The Faculty of Dentistry was responsible for four tents: The UAE country tent, the Kuwait country tent, the scientific tent and a tent for introducing women rights and duties in Islam and Christianity. The faculty won first place for its cultural tent (representing UAE) and scientific tents, and were rewarded the arm of appreciation by the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Dr. Duran Kala.
The role of students is always appreciated in any field, especially when they give their services as volunteers and participate with all their knowledge and capacity. Congratulations and a warm thanks to the dear participant students for their significant contributions, and we wish to see their efforts and the rest of the faculty students’ efforts in next year’s International Spring Festival.
