On April 17th, 2023, in the holy month of Ramadan, the Dean of Students Office at the Faculty of Dentistry at Tishk International University visited the orphanage to provide Eid clothing to the children in celebration of Eid-al-Fitr. The Dean of Students Representatives, together with the Polyclinic Director, Dr. Lezan Dawood and Dr. Melav Musa, organized and supervised the project with the help of fifth-grade faculty students. The project aimed to provide clothing to 70 children in the orphanage to celebrate Eid-al-Fitr.
On April 1st 2023, fifth-grade faculty students started collecting donations for the project. On April 15th 2023, the Dean of Students Representatives held a meeting with the students to plan the project. The students were provided with information regarding the names, genders and ages of the orphans for purchasing the clothing and dates were decided.
On April 17th 2023, the group of students accompanied by the Dean of Students Supervisor and faculty staff visited the orphanage and met the manager, then sat down with the children and talked with them, after which the clothes were distributed. Beautiful smiles were produced on their tiny faces, and the children were satisfied and content. The Faculty of Dentistry and the Dean of Students Department thank all the participants and volunteers who significantly contributed to the success of the project.
