Tishk International University (TIU) recently hosted its 9th Career Days event, in aim to fostering career growth and development among its students. The event, held on February 27th and 28th, 2024, welcomed a distinguished array of guests, including Mr. Kamal Muslim, the Minister of Trade and Industry, Representatives from the Ministry of Higher Education, and notable figures from various sectors.
Informative panels and seminars further enriched the experience, providing attendees with valuable insights into essential skills and industry expectations. One such seminar presented by Dr. Ali Adnan, MSc., in Oral Surgery, discussed vital points where saturated market can be beneficial for professionals where they can market their skills and their business in a different way. The client in such market doesn’t only include patients but also other professionals by providing educational content and equipment. All these steps were discussed with real life examples that apply to today’s market in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
Featuring the theme “Pathways to Success and Building a Sustainable Future,” the event garnered overwhelming praise and participation from renowned companies, government officials, NGOs, and university leaders. The dynamic atmosphere allowed students to directly engage with industry professionals and gain practical knowledge about their prospective fields. The opening ceremony featured inspiring speeches from Dr. Idris Hadi and prof. Dr. Sultan Abu Orabi and Mr. Kamal Muslim Minister of Trade and Industry and Mr. Muhammed, General Manager of Bright Way Company, setting a tone of motivation and empowerment.
The event presented students with two exceptional opportunities: an internship program to gain hands-on experience and over 146 job vacancies across various companies, offering a diverse array of career paths.
