On May 15, 2025, Faculty of Dentistry at Tishk International University (TIU) organized and Dean of students supervised a memorable farewell ceremony for the 5th-grade students, marking the end of their academic journey and the beginning of a new professional chapter. The event was a heartfelt tribute to the graduates, who have spent years growing, learning, and shaping their futures .
The ceremony was held on campus and was graced by the presence of several esteemed faculty members and university leaders, including Dr. Omar Naqshbandi, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Dr. Alisher Babakuliyev, Head of Departments, and Dr. Lezan Dawood, Director of the Polyclinics. Their attendance and support underscored the importance of the occasion and the deep sense of pride the university holds for its graduating students.
A special presentation was delivered by Miss Rasha Alkabani, who highlighted Tishk International University’s accreditation from various European institutions, reaffirming the university’s growing international recognition and the strength of the education provided to the students.
One of the most emotional highlights of the evening was a video prepared by the 5th-grade students, in which they asked their senior colleagues to share their final thoughts, memories, and words of wisdom before graduation. This touching tribute brought smiles and tears, capturing the spirit of mentorship and camaraderie that has defined their years together.
Dr. Omar Naqshbandi delivered an encouraging and inspiring speech, congratulating the students on their hard work, resilience, and achievements. He urged them to move forward with confidence, integrity, and dedication to the dental profession.
Mr. Firsat Abdullah, Head of the Alumni Office, also addressed the graduates, introducing them to the TIU Alumni Network and emphasizing the lifelong connection they will maintain with their alma mater. He spoke about the role of the alumni office in supporting graduates, providing networking opportunities, and helping them stay engaged with the TIU community as professionals.
Throughout the ceremony, photos of the graduating students were displayed on the screen, reflecting on their journey from the first year to their final days at the university. The emotional visuals were followed by the cutting and distribution of a celebration cake, symbolizing the sweet end to one chapter and the exciting beginning of another. The event concluded with group photo sessions, capturing cherished memories with classmates, faculty, and staff. While the ceremony was filled with laughter and celebration, it was also tinged with a sense of sadness as students prepared to say goodbye to a place that had become their second home.
