On April 25th, 2024, Faculty of Dentistry participated in the Spring Festival held at Tishk International University and won the second place in the (UAE) country tent. The Dean of Students Office at Tishk International University organized the 7th International Festival of Language, Culture and Science at TIU campus under the theme of “Coexistence” with the participation of general consulates, politicians, parents, students, staff, and guests.
The festival focused on promoting the message of peace and coexistence among countries and nations and to raise awareness about Coexistence. Coexistence is the act or state of living together peacefully or harmoniously, despite differences or conflicts. The festival comprised tents representing countries, scientific tents from TIU departments, tents of alumni start-up business owners, tents of NGOs for the disabled, four nations including Kurdish, Arabic, Turkmen, and Christian, and other tents for food fundraising, art exhibitions, and many entertainment games.
The Faculty of Dentistry was responsible for three tents: The UAE country tent, the Armenia country tent and the scientific tent for introducing AI. The faculty of Dentistry won the second place in UAE tent and were rewarded the arm of appreciation by Tishk International University.
A warm congratulations to all the organizers and supervisors of the tents, Miss Zainab Hasan, Dr. Safiya Basman, Mrs Zhala Tahsin and Mr. Yusuf Siddiq, Dean of Student Representatives and general organizers. We sincerely thank the tent supervisors, Dr. Taba Sherzad, Dr Iman Hayder, Dr. Shad Hoshyar, Dr. Rebaz Samir and Miss Sultan Muzzafar. Lastly, thanks to all the fantastic volunteer students in each tent, we highly appreciate your participation and hope to see you at next year’s spring festival.
