In a remarkable initiative to promote academic collaboration and hands-on learning, the Faculty of Dentistry at Tishk International University (TIU) organized a scientific tour to Salahaddin University’s College of Science on February 27th, 2025. This visit, part of an ongoing effort to strengthen ties between the two institutions, provided students with a unique opportunity to engage in practical scientific activities and expand their academic horizons.
The academic trip was organized by Assistant Lecturer Dr. Monica Miasko and supervised by the Dean of Students’ Office at the Faculty of Dentistry. A group of 30 enthusiastic students from TIU participated, in a collaboration with Salahaddin University.
During the visit, the students were warmly welcomed by the faculty and staff of Salahaddin University. The highlight of the visit was a hands-on rat dissection session, which provided students with valuable practical experience in anatomy and physiology sciences. This activity not only enhanced their understanding of scientific concepts but also allowed them to apply their theoretical knowledge in a real-world laboratory setting.
Dr. Monica Miasko, the organizer of the trip, expressed her gratitude to Salahaddin University for hosting the event and emphasized the importance of such collaborative activities in fostering academic growth and innovation.
