On March 8th, 2023, the Faculty of Dentistry won First Place in Spring Festival held at Tishk International University in both country tent (UAE) and Scientific tent categories. The Dean of Students Office at Tishk International University organized the 6th International Festival of Language, Culture and Science at the TIU campus under the theme of “Women Empowerment” with the participation of general consulates, politicians, parents, students, staff, and guests.
The festival aimed to raise awareness about women empowerment and define the outstanding role of women in all the countries and fields around the world. The festival also focused on promoting the message of peace and coexistence among countries and nations. The festival comprised tents representing countries, scientific tents from TIU departments, tents of alum start-up business owners, tents of NGOs for the disabled, four nations including Kurdish, Arabic, Turkmen, and Christian, and other tents for food fundraising, art exhibitions, and many entertainment games.
The Faculty of Dentistry was responsible for four tents: The UAE country tent, the Kuwait country tent, the scientific tent and a tent for introducing women rights and duties in Islam and Christianity. The faculty of Dentistry won first place in UAE and scientific tents and were rewarded the arm of appreciation by the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Dr. Duran Kala.
A warm congratulations to all the organizers and supervisors of the tents, Dr. Safiya Basman and Mr. Yusuf Siddiq, Dean of Student Representatives and general organizers. We sincerely thank the tents’ supervisors, Dr. Wan, Dr Zainab Zaito, Dr. Noor, Dr Isra, Dr. Lava Sabr, Miss Sara Salim, Dr Sara Sherzad and Ms Iman. Lastly, thanks to all the fantastic volunteer students in each tent, we highly appreciate your participation and hope to see you at next year’s spring festival.
