On December 21st, 2023, the Dean of Students Office at the Faculty of Dentistry, Tishk International University (TIU) hosted a special farewell gathering to honour the Dean’s Secretary, who will be leaving TIU at the end of December 2023.
Each year, TIU welcomes new staff members and, at times, bids farewell to others as they embark on their next professional journey. This year, to show our appreciation for the invaluable contributions of the Dean’s Secretary, a gathering was organized within the university, attended by all faculty and support staff. The event served as an opportunity to create lasting memories and express our collective gratitude for the time we were fortunate to work alongside them.
The ceremony commenced with an address by Dr. Jafer Naghshbandi, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry. He conveyed his deep regret over the departure of a valued member of the Faculty of Dentistry’s administrative team. In his speech, Dr. Naghshbandi highlighted Mrs. Rozhan Luqman’s exemplary virtues and her invaluable assistance throughout her tenure. Subsequently, he presented an appreciation certificate to Mrs. Luqman in recognition of her dedicated service. Mrs. Luqman then expressed her thanks to all faculty and support staff, reflecting on her experiences and the professional relationships she cherished at the Faculty of Dentistry. The event also featured a presentation of a bouquet of flowers to Mrs. Luqman by Prof. Dr. Jabbar. As the event drew to a close, attendees enjoyed cake and drinks, and took the opportunity for group and individual photos, capturing the momentous occasion.
While it is always challenging to bid farewell to a dedicated and hardworking member of our dental family, we look forward to the bright future that lies ahead for them. On behalf of the entire faculty, we extend our heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Rozhan for her unwavering dedication, passion, and commitment. We wish her continued success and fulfillment in all her future endeavours.
