On the afternoon of January 17th 2024, the Dean of Students at the Faculty of Dentistry, Tishk International University (TIU) arranged a gathering ceremony on the university campus to reunite alumni who graduated from Tishk International University.
Alumni from the years 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 were invited to join the ceremony. The event began with a speech and announcement from the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Dr. Jaffar Naghshbandi. He delivered a heartwarming welcome to the alumni and discussed their contributions to European universities, emphasizing the importance of extending these contributions to our university in the future. He also announced the Dental Alumni Study Club, a club designed to build connections between alumni and update practical knowledge through monthly seminars, open case discussions, and community projects, with participation from professors, seniors, and research assistants in the Faculty of Dentistry.
The mission of our Dental Study Club is to foster continuous learning and excellence in patient care. We aim to contribute to the professional growth of our dental alumni through innovative and interactive educational experiences, ultimately enhancing the health and well-being of the communities they serve.
The ceremony continued with a second speech from our esteemed Prof. Dr. Jabbar Hussein, head of the Prosthodontic Department, followed by a final speech from Mr. Ridhwan, Director of the Alumni Office. Subsequently, one of our alumni, Dr. Mustafa Talaat, currently a Research Assistant at the Faculty of Dentistry and an exemplar of ethics in both his professional and personal life, delivered an insightful presentation. He spoke about the factors influencing his success and the people to whom he owes his achievements. The presentation, rich in wisdom, engaged all participants.
