On February 28, 2021, Faculty of Dentistry at Tishk International University (TIU) organized a workshop under the title of ‘Hands on Restorative Dentistry’’ for dentists , academic staff of Dentistry Faculty, and dental students , to update their knowledge and Practice in the field of Restorative Dentistry, since it takes a large part of the dental practice. The workshop was presented by Dr. Bushra Rashid, BDS, MSc (TIU/Dentistry Faculty- Pedodontics Department), Dr. Mohamed Salim BDS, MSc (TIU/ Dentistry Faculty -Pedodontics Department), and Dr. Abdullah M. Bazrgan, BDS (TIU/ Dentistry Faculty- Pedodontics Department)
The workshop included the following sessions: ·
First Session (Theoretical), they discussed the following titles:
1.Morphology of the Teeth
2.Cavity Preparation
3.Minimal Invasive Dentistry
4. Restorative Materials
5.Introduction to Artistic Elements Towards Restoration
6. Clinical Consideration
Second Session (Practical):
- Cavity Preparation
- Hands on Restoration
17 participants from students and academic staff of dentistry faculty attended the workshop.
The workshop raised the participants scientific level in the subject of restorative dentistry . The workshop was sponsored by Venus Dental Health Center.
