Intraoral Scanners in Daily Dental Clinical Workflow Workshop

On September 8, 2022, a workshop under the title of Intraoral Scanners in Daily Dental Clinical Workflow was conducted by Assist. Prof. Dr Arass Jalal Noori, PhD at POP Department, Dentistry Faculty, Sulaimani University) for Faculty of Dentistry staff, outside dentists, and students at Tishk International University in Erbil, KRG. The workshop focused on the importance of Intraoral Scanners and digital Dentistry in making a new developmental revolution in the Dental field.

The workshop contained two sessions: 1- A theoretical session with a live demonstration on how to use an intra-oral scanner. 

2- Hands-on Medit i700 scanner.

The workshop’s objectives were to familiarize the participants with Intraoral Scanner and its software, to enable the participants to use the scanner properly, and to point out the contribution of scanners in the quality of different dental fields such as Prosthodontics, Orthodontics, Conservative, etc.

The workshop simplified the principles of using intraoral scanners while explaining the technique’s advantages, disadvantages, indications and contraindications and enabled the participants to manipulate the scanner in a practical way.

One hundred twenty participants attended the workshop sponsored by Vanest Dental Care and Medit Companies.
