Iraqi Championship for Paragliding Accuracy
Ahmad Yasin, a fifth-grade student of the Faculty of Dentistry at Tishk International University in Erbil, KRG participated in the Fifth Iraqi Championship for Paragliding Accuracy that was held in Sulaymaniyah City from March 30th, 2022 to April 1st, 2022.
We would like to extend our congratulations to our student for winning second place in the Iraqi Paragliding Championship and wish him more success and prosperity. The Faculty of Dentistry encourages all its students to participate in different kinds of social and sports activities parallel to their studies.
Paragliding is a flying sport. The pilot sits in a harness or rests supine beneath a cloth wing in a cocoon-like speed bag. The suspension lines, the pressure of air entering vents in the front of the wing, and the aerodynamic forces of the air flowing over the exterior all work together to keep the wing form.
