In cooperation with Dental Blueprint Academy, the Faculty of Dentistry at Tishk International University held a training course titled Minimally Invasive Endo Access Preparation Under Microscope by Dr. khidir Mustafa. The course was held for faculty academic staff from January 7th to January 10th, 2023. The course’s objectives were to familiarise the faculty staff with innovations in Digital Dentistry, especially the field of Intraoral Microscopes, in addition to teaching the new advances in Endodontic Treatment.
The field of dentistry continually evolves with advancements in technology, and one such remarkable tool is the intraoral microscope. Designed to provide enhanced visualization and precision during dental procedures, the intraoral microscope has revolutionized the way dental professionals diagnose and treat oral health conditions.
The course consisted of both theoretical and practical sessions. The theoretical session explained the importance of Intraoral Microscopes for a dentist’s daily practice, while the practical session was hands-on intraoral microscopes used for endodontics access preparation. Twenty-nine participants attended the training course.
Participants had the opportunity to gain practical experience with intraoral microscopes. The training facility was equipped with state-of-the-art dental chairs and a range of microscopes, enabling each participant to work individually or in small groups.
Under the guidance of experienced mentors, attendees practiced using the intraoral microscope for various dental procedures, such as examinations, dental cleanings, and restorative treatments. They learned how to adjust the magnification levels, focus the microscope, and utilize auxiliary tools like intraoral cameras for patient education. Mentors provided personalized feedback and tips for improving technique and maximizing the benefits of intraoral microscopy.
The objectives of the training course were:
1- Familiarize participants with the basics of intraoral microscopy.
2- Develop proficiency in handling and operating intraoral microscopes.
3- Enhance visualization and diagnostics skills.
4- Learn applications of intraoral microscopy in various dental procedures.
