On October 24th, 2024, the Faculty of Dentistry at Tishk International University (TIU) organized a workshop titled “The Role of Dental Loupes in Dentistry.” This event was designed for both faculty staff and external dentists.
The workshop featured insightful presentations by Dr. Hisham Ibrahim and Dr. Karam Ahmad, both esteemed members of the Conservative Department at Tishk International University. Their expertise provided valuable insights into the importance of dental loupes in improving clinical outcomes and precision in dental procedures. The workshop was structured into two comprehensive sessions: a theoretical session and a hands-on session. The theoretical session covered key concepts, including the different types of dental loupes, their features, and the profound impact of magnification on clinical practice. The hands-on session provided participants with a scientific and practical environment, allowing them to try various loupes and understand their applications in real-world scenarios. This interactive approach fostered engagement and enabled attendees to ask questions and share experiences.
The primary aim of the workshop was to enhance the participants’ knowledge regarding the newest updates in dental technology. More than 75 participants attended this successful workshop, which was proudly sponsored by the Ivory Company.
