The Dean of Students at the Faculty of Dentistry at Tishk International University (TIU) arranged a football tournament on April 30th, 2024, for all faculties at TIU. The tournament featured 8 teams comprising students from all grades in all faculties across the university.
The intense competition reached its climax with an exciting championship match that took place on May 8th, 2024. Two outstanding teams, one from the Faculty of Dentistry and the other from the Faculty of Law, participated in the championship match. The Faculty of Dentistry team triumphed over their opponent by a score of 3-2. The oversight of each match was carried out by the Representatives of the Dean of Students in the Faculty of Dentistry. A sizeable audience, comprised of dentistry faculty, students, and students from other faculties, was present for the championship match.
Dr. Muhamad Abdulghani, the Dean of Students, and Mr. Ercan Sezer, the Dean of Students Representative in the Faculty of Dentistry, extended heartfelt congratulations to both teams and awarded them with cups for first and second place, respectively. In recognition of their outstanding achievements, Mariwan Sardar, a fourth-grade student in the Faculty of Dentistry, and Ahmad Nadhim, a third-grade student in the same faculty, were awarded gifts. Sardar was recognised as the best custodian. All the competing teams have our heartfelt congratulations and sincere appreciation. We extend our best wishes for their ongoing achievements in both their personal and academic pursuits.
We are delighted to inspire and motivate our faculty students and staff to engage in endeavours that advance their welfare, as such initiatives are a top priority at Tishk International University.
