The Dean of Students at the Faculty of Dentistry at Tishk International University (TIU) arranged two welcome ceremonies for the newly arrived first stage dentistry students. The ceremonies were held on January 25th and January 28th 2024. The events were organized by the Dean of Students Office Representatives and class advisors of each stage.
At each ceremony the Student Representatives at the Dean of Students Committee, introduced the students to the Dean of Students committee members as well as the respective class advisors of the stage and briefly explained the role of the Deanery. The representatives also delivered a speech to the students, in which they highlighted the importance of participating in social activities and being a productive student besides studying dentistry and introduced the students to the different types of social activities held in the university and various club activities. Additionally, the class advisors of each stage were introduced to facilitate communication between the students and the academic staff. An introductory video was also played regarding the faculty activities to familiarize the students to the different projects and activities achieved every year by the Dean of Students Committee at the Faculty of Dentistry.
The ceremonies included a traditional Kurdish lunch which created an atmosphere of friendship and love between the students where everyone gets to know each other and spend time with their respective class advisors .
