The Dean of Students at the Faculty of Dentistry at Tishk International University (TIU) arranged eight welcome ceremonies for all stage dentistry students as a welcome to their new semester. The ceremonies were held between February 4th and February 29th 2024. The events were organized by the Dean of Students Office Representatives and Class Advisors of each stage.

At each ceremony, Student Representatives from the Dean of Students Committee formally introduced attendees to the Committee members and the respective class advisors. They briefly outlined the deanery’s role within the faculty. Additionally, the representatives delivered a speech emphasizing the significance of engaging in social activities and being productive beyond the confines of studying dentistry. They acquainted the students with various social and club activities offered by the university, underscoring the responsibility incumbent upon every student as a member of the TIU family, particularly within the Faculty of Dentistry.

To facilitate improved communication between students and academic staff, the Class Advisors for each stage were also introduced. Furthermore, an introductory video detailing the Dean of Students Committee’s projects and activities within the Faculty of Dentistry was shown, aimed at familiarizing students with the committee’s annual achievements.

The ceremonies featured a traditional Kurdish lunch, fostering an atmosphere of camaraderie and affection among students. This setting provided an opportunity for participants to forge stronger connections, get to know one another better, and enjoy a period of relaxation together.
