On the 2nd of March, 2023, a white coat ceremony was held for the first-grade students in the Faculty of Dentistry at Tishk International University. The Dean of Students Committee at the Faculty of Dentistry, Dr. Safiya Basman, Mr Yusuf Siddiq, Miss Sara Salim, Dr Sara Sherzad, Dr Lava Sabr, Dr. Zeyneb Yalman and Mr Ercan Sezer organized and supervised the event in which all the faculty doctors and staff were invited.
The event started with a speech from the Head of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Idris Hadi, where he talked about education at TIU and its future for its students. He encouraged and advised the students to achieve their goals and discussed how the university can help students pursue their academic dream. A second motivational speech was delivered by the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Dr. Duran Kala, where he talked about the outstanding academic achievements of Tishk International University. This was followed by the pledge recitation by Dr. Alisher Babakuliyev, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, where he led the students to take the oath of dentistry and pledge to commit themselves to place patients before all else.
In the presence of the teaching staff and other doctors in TIU, the student representatives of each group were invited to the stage to cut the cake of the ceremony. Photos were taken, and the cake was distributed amongst the event participants. Students enjoyed an excellent time together in the companionship of their teaching staff and university management.
