Tishk International Dentistry organized a seminar program by inviting respected and reputable Assoc. Prof. Dr. Raid Sadda (DDS, MS, MFDRCSI), who works in New York University-USA. This lecture topic was “Surgcal mplant complcaton/ etology and management”. We would like to thank Dr. Raid Sadda for this successful and educative seminar.
Faculty of Dentistry lecturers, Dr. Bushra Rashid, Dr. Alaa Muayad, and Dr. Huda Yaser, Ms. Rozhan Arif, and a number of students, Parwa Khalil, Lava Sabir, Halaz Muhammed, Dlovan Talaat, Ilaf Ghaz, and Mujda Koyi, visited the camp of Syrian refugees in Koshtappa-Erbil under the supervision of the charity club of Tishk International University. The aim of the visit was to give information to the women who live in the camp. Three seminars were given by our faculty lecturers. Tishk International Dentistry organized a seminar program by inviting respected and reputable Dr. Khither Mustafa Khither (MSc in Endodontics), who works in Xanzad Teaching Center and Hospital. This seminar topic was “Introduction to Endodonti Therapy and Rotary Instruments”. As a Faculty, we will invite respected and reputable Doctors to our university to provide our students practical experience by interacting them with dentistry. These programs are going to bring theoretical and practical experience together. This program aims to raise well-educated doctors of future and Kurdistan. Amalgam, an alloy of mercury (Hg), is an excellent and versatile dental restorative material. It has been used in dentistry since 150 years due to its low cost, ease of application, strength, durability, and bacteriostatic effects. Popularity of amalgam as restorative material is decreasing these days due to concerns about detrimental health effects, environmental pollution, and aesthetics. The metallic colour of amalgam does not blend with the natural tooth colour so patients and professionals preferred tooth-coloured restorative material for cavity filling in carious teeth for better aesthetics. European Journal of General Dentistry is a triannually peer-reviewed international journal published by Wolter Kluwer Health. The journal’s full text is available online at www.ejgd.org. The journal allows free access (Open Access) to its contents and permits authors to self-archive final accepted version of the articles on any OAI-compliant institutional / subject-based repository. The journal will charge for submission, processing or publication of manuscripts and for color reproduction of photographs.
