The Faculty of Dentistry at Tishk International University (TIU) carried out a humanitarian charity project aimed at supporting underprivileged families in the Bnaslawa district. This initiative reflects the university’s ongoing commitment to community service and social responsibility, particularly in assisting vulnerable groups facing financial hardship.

The project commenced on 20 December 2025 and continued through Ramadan month until 19 March 2026. Over the course of this period, faculty members and volunteers conducted a series of organized field visits to ensure that aid was delivered effectively and according to each family’s specific needs. In total, approximately 70 families benefited from this initiative.

A key feature of the project was its structured and personalized approach. Each family was visited individually prior to the distribution of aid, allowing the team to assess their living conditions and identify their most urgent needs. Based on these assessments, targeted assistance was provided. The support included financial contributions to help cover rental fees, which alleviated a significant burden for many households struggling to maintain stable housing.

In addition to financial aid, essential food supplies were distributed. Families received comprehensive food baskets containing a variety of staple items. In addition, heating oil for stoves was provided to help families cope with winter conditions. As well as clothing was provided during the visits. This comprehensive support aimed to improve living conditions and ease financial burdens during a challenging period.

To maintain continuous support and follow-up, Bnaslawa district families were visited multiple times, typically between three to four visits throughout the duration of the project. These repeated visits allowed the team to monitor the impact of the assistance, address any additional needs, and strengthen their connection with the community.

Overall, this charity project demonstrated the Faculty of Dentistry’s dedication not only to academic excellence but also to meaningful community engagement. By combining careful planning, direct interaction with beneficiaries, and sustained support, the initiative made a tangible difference in the lives of many families in the Bnaslawa district.
