The Faculty of Dentistry at Tishk International University successfully organized the annual class representative elections for students of the first, second, and fifth stages as part of the faculty’s commitment to promoting student participation, leadership, and effective communication within the academic environment. The elections were conducted under the supervision of the faculty administration in a transparent and organized manner to ensure active student participation in the democratic process and to encourage students to take part in academic and administrative responsibilities.
The elections for first-stage students were held on 16 December 2025, with five candidates competing from different student groups. The election process witnessed active participation and enthusiasm from first-year students, reflecting their interest in contributing to student activities and representing their classmates throughout the academic year. Meanwhile, the elections for the second and fifth stages were conducted on 17 and 21 September 2025, respectively. In the third and fourth stages, each group had only one candidate; therefore, those candidates were appointed directly as class representatives without the need for elections.
Class representatives play an important role within the faculty, as they serve as a communication bridge between students, lecturers, and the faculty administration. Their responsibilities include conveying students’ academic concerns and suggestions to the administration, assisting in solving student-related problems, and ensuring that important announcements, schedules, and academic updates are communicated effectively to all students. In addition, class representatives contribute to creating a cooperative and supportive educational environment by encouraging communication, teamwork, and student engagement in faculty activities.
The Faculty of Dentistry congratulates all elected and appointed class representatives and wishes them success in carrying out their responsibilities during the academic year. The faculty also appreciates the active participation of students in the election process and emphasizes the importance of student leadership in enhancing academic communication and strengthening the relationship between students and faculty administration
