On the 2nd of February 2026, the Faculty of Dentistry at Tishk International University organized a white coat ceremony for first-grade students. The event was under the supervision of the Faculty Deanery in which all the faculty doctors and staff were invited.
The event started with a speech from the President of Tishk International University, Dr. Sultan Abu Orabi, where he talked about education at TIU and its future for its students. He encouraged and advised the students to achieve their goals and discussed how the university can help students pursue their academic dream. Then the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Dr. Omar Jafar Naghshbandi, congratulated and welcomed the new first graders and delivered a speech about the outstanding academic achievements of Tishk International University. Last year’s graduate, Yusuf Bashar, who came at the second rank during his 5 years in Faculty of Dentistry, delivered a motivational speech to the first-grade students as he reflected on the incredible dedication and hard work that has brought all of them here today as well as encouraged the students to never give up, have confidence in themselves and see every challenge as an opportunity for growth for them. This was followed by the pledge recitation by Dr. Alisher Babakuliyev, Head of Departments in Faculty of Dentistry, where he led the students to take the oath of dentistry and pledge to commit themselves to place patients before all else and to foster not only academic but spiritual, ethical and intellectual growth.
In the presence of the teaching staff, head of departments and other doctors in TIU, the students of each group were invited to the stage to take a group photo with their seniors. Cake of the ceremony was cut and distributed amongst the event participants. Students enjoyed an enjoyable time together in the companionship of their teaching staff and university management.
