The Food Fundraising project is an annual project that is organized by the Deanery of Students of Tishk International University. This year Faculty of Dentistry carried out the project on 16 February 2026. This year’s project was dedicated to people in need, providing rental fees and renovating a school. The aim of this project is to shed light on the situation and raise awareness among our students.
Faculty of Dentistry assigned four tables for the food, sweet and pastries brought or handmade by the students and supervised by staff members of Faculty of dentistry. Around 60 students participated from all grades in the faculty. With the great contribution of the first and second grade students as well as some others from the other grades of the faculty. A group of faculty staff supervised the event.
The volunteer students worked very hard to conduct the project in the most beneficial way and gather as much donations as possible. The total income of this project was nearly 2, 755,000 IQD.
The aim of this project was to enhance the sense of service and sympathy towards humanity and highlight to Tishk society the importance of giving and putting others before yourself: to live a life of service. All the income from this project will be dedicated to supporting needy families with their essential needs and rent expenses. In addition, part of the funds will be used for a school renovation project.
To conclude, it is important to acknowledge that the implementation of such projects would not be possible with the absence of powerful spirits and a hardworking, intelligent team. Therefore, we would like to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to our students, and staff, for without them, such successful activities would not exist.
We as TIU, would like to thank all our partners and our beloved students that participated in such an important and humanitarian project. We wish to continue carrying out more works and projects in the future.
