On 22 April 2026, the Faculty of Dentistry at Tishk International University organized a recreational and social trip to the city of Akre for female staff members, including research assistants and senior staff members of the Faculty of Dentistry, with a total of eleven participants attending the trip.
The purpose of this activity was to strengthen social relationships among staff members, encourage communication and teamwork outside the academic environment, and provide an opportunity for relaxation and recreation.
The group gathered early in the morning and traveled together by bus to Akre, where the participants enjoyed a cheerful and friendly atmosphere during the journey through conversations, entertainment, and various enjoyable activities inside the bus. Upon arrival, the group had breakfast at a traditional folkloric place in Akre that reflected the cultural heritage and local atmosphere of the city, allowing the participants to experience local traditions while spending quality time together. After breakfast, the participants took a walking tour through the Akre Bazaar, where they explored the local market, traditional shops, and historical surroundings, in addition to enjoying sightseeing, shopping, and taking photographs.
Following the bazaar visit, the group headed to the Pers picnic area, where they spent several enjoyable hours participating in different games and recreational activities, while also sharing food and drinks in a pleasant natural environment. The picnic activities created an excellent opportunity for strengthening friendships, building new relationships among staff members, and enhancing cooperation and positive interaction between colleagues.
The participants expressed great enjoyment throughout the trip, and the return journey was also filled with entertainment, games, and enjoyable moments inside the bus. Overall, the trip was considered a successful social and recreational activity organized by the Faculty of Dentistry at Tishk International University, as it contributed positively to staff wellbeing, improved interpersonal relationships among colleagues, and promoted a positive and collaborative working environment within the faculty.
