On the afternoon of February 4th 2026, Faculty of Dentistry in Tishk International University arranged a gathering ceremony in the university campus for the purpose of reunion of the Alumni graduated from Tishk International University.
Alumni of all rounds were invited to join the ceremony. The ceremony started out with a speech from Dean of Faculty of Dentistry, Dr. Jaffar Naghshabandi, who delivered a heartwarming speech welcoming the alumni and talked about the university’s wish to always build a bridge with their students and expressed how the faculty of dentistry wants a consistent relation with their graduates. This was followed by a speech from Mrs Lavin Kawa, Coordinator of Alumni Unit, where she presented an application specific for the alumni which worked as a connection means between the alumni and as a carrier center for finding jobs. She also focused on the focus of the alumni center on visiting the alumni and securing a connection.
The ceremony was followed by a seminar presented by the Head of the Mechatronics Engineering Department, Dr. Ezideen Haso. The seminar was about Hypnosis in Dentistry, the different techniques and a live demonstration where he hypnotized two volunteers. Hypnosis in dentistry helps reduce anxiety and fear, making patients more relaxed and cooperative during procedures. It can also decrease pain perception and gag reflex, sometimes reducing the need for pharmacological sedation. Plaque of appreciation was presented to Dr. Haso, as an appreciation means. The ceremony ended with serving snacks and lunch by the university.
Through innovative and interactive educational experiences, TIU aims to contribute to the professional growth of our dental alumni, ultimately enhancing the overall health and well-being of the communities they serve.
