On November 8th 2022, the Dean of Students at the Faculty of Dentistry, Tishk International University (TIU) arranged a social visit to Erbil Orphanage House for dental awareness. This was the first step of a long-term project that lasted till the 25th of May 2023. The project was supervised by the Dean of Students Representative Dr. Safiya Basman and Paediatric Department staff Dr. Bzhar Muhammad, Dr. Bushra Rashid, Dr. Muhammad Salim and Dr. Mevan Kawa. On December 14th, 2021, a team of research assistants and students of the Faculty of Dentistry at Tishk International University visited the Runaki International School (RISE) in Erbil. The visit was supervised by Dr. Lezan Dawood, Polyclinic Director. The aim of the visit was to raise dental health awareness and educate the young students on how to take care of their teeth and oral health.
