On March 9th and 12th, 2015, the Faculty of Dentistry at Tishk International University (TIU) organized a compassionate initiative to provide dental awareness and check-ups for children residing in Erbil Prison. The project, supervised by the Faculty of Dentistry, aimed to promote oral health and extend care to a vulnerable group of young people. On November 8th 2022, the Dean of Students at the Faculty of Dentistry, Tishk International University (TIU) arranged a social visit to Erbil Orphanage House for dental awareness. This was the first step of a long-term project that lasted till the 25th of May 2023. On December 14th, 2021, a team of research assistants and students of the Faculty of Dentistry at Tishk International University visited the Runaki International School (RISE) in Erbil. The visit was supervised by Dr. Lezan Dawood, Polyclinic Director. The aim of the visit was to raise dental health awareness and educate the young students on how to take care of their teeth and oral health.
