On February 27, 2020, TIU- Faculty of Dentistry organized a seminar for the Dentistry Staff under the title of “Corona Virus Awareness”. Ms.Sara Bahram, a research assistant at the Dentistry Faculty presented the seminar, in which she discussed the history of the corona virus, the development of (COVID-19) and its risk and she explained the means of protection that all individuals including Dentist should follow. The seminar aim was spreading awareness between the staff of Dentistry Faculty by giving them enough information about the risks and prevention while reassuring them to not panic or get stressed, as it is clear [...]

On February 25, 2020 TIU-Dentistry Faculty under the supervision of Dr.Zainab Yalman the representative of Dean of Student’s office and Dr.Rebuar Fadhil ,the Academic advisor of third grades.Ms. Sara Bahram and Dr.Noor Ali, class advisors presented a seminar for the third grade students under the title of “How to be successful’’. The seminar aimed in motivating the students to work harder for their future and learn how to study efficiently in order to achieve greater results in their academic and social lives by teaching them the steps that successful people are following and explaining the power of human brain. Every two weeks the  Dean of students office under the supervision of Mr.Fatih Yilmaz the representative of Dean of Students organizes a series of football matches for the Dentistry faculty students from all the grades. The activity aims at motivating the hobbies and encouraging the physical skills of the students by providing them a healthy safe and joyful environment inside the university campus for practicing their hobbies and to reduce the stress of their studies.    

Between February 6 to February 8, 2020, the dean of students' office organized a trip for the fifth-grade students of Dentistry Faculty  to Halabja resorts. A group of students with their seniors participated in the activity in a joyful and friendly environment. The trip aimed at providing a reliving environment for the students away from academic life to strengthen their social relationships and enjoy some memorable moments in addition to getting more familiar with the lovely beautiful nature of Kurdistan.

On February 1, 2020, the dean of students' office organized a trip to the korek mountain for the Dentistry Faculty students under the supervision of Mr.Fatih Yilmaz the representative of Dean of students and Mr.Soran Kaifi. 19 students from the first grade, 12 students from the fourth grade and 23 students from the fifth grade participated in the activity in a joyful and friendly environment. The trip aimed at providing a reliving environment for the students away from the academic life to strengthen their social relationship and enjoy some memorable moments.

On February 10, 2020, in the presence of Mr.Ali Bala and Mrs.Emine Bala the representatives of Dean of Students office and some of the members of Dean of Students’ office, certificates of appreciation were distributed to the students of Dentistry Faculty that Participated in the Mercy Corner project in recognition of their great role in helping Rozhawa refugee's by collecting ,organizing and distributing the donations. The certificate distribution aimed in appreciating and motivating the students to participate in social and humanitarian activities beside their study to be socially and scientifically active members of their society.
