A full day lecture and hands on dental implants under the title (essential principles of dental implant surgery) On Saturday 2nd of December were organized for 5th grade students and assistants of Tishk International university , the workshop was held at the conference hall of American dental clinic, the lecturers were dr.omer naghshbandi , dr. On November 27th, we have arranged vaccination for 4th and 5th grade students as well as our staff members , the vaccine was for hepatitis B which is one of the most common and severe types of hepatitis, our aim was to protect our students and staff  while  instructing them about the periods they should complete their vaccinations  

The Pedodontic Department visited Golan Kindergarten on 20th of November. The visit is accomplished by the staff of the department, Dr. Saya Hadi. The visit was for education of the children about the importance of the oral hygiene, teeth brushing and the necessity of organizing their diet consumption.All of the children were motivated for the next visit for dental examination and topical fluoride application.

   On November 22, the Pedodontic Department visited Golan Kindergarten. Many of the Pedodontic department staff participated in the visit, Dr. BUSHRA Rashid, Dr. Saya Hadi, Dr. Lava Sabir and Dr. Zahraa Emad.   The visit was for dental examination and topical fluoride application to the kindergarten’s children. also color-printed dental care instructions are given to the children so that their parents can read it and be aware about the instructions  

A national seminar under the title (Breast Cancer Awareness) was held in Tishk International University. Dr. Narmin Taha Mustafa, Specialist in general surgeon presented a seminar for dental students in Faculty of Dentistry, Tishk International University on Thursday, November 23, 2017. The aim of the seminar was to enhance awareness about cancer and specifically breast cancer, which is widespread in our region. The main signs and symptoms of breast cancer with its risk factors were discussed as well as important instructions about self-examination for early diagnoses of breast cancer.   On 22nd of November we had orientation program for new Dentistry undergraduate students. Our Dean Dr. Duran Kala gave them welcome speech. Executive student manager of faculty Mr. Ercan Sezer gave information about policies of Dental Faculty and Student handbook was given to students, furthermore teaching assistant advisors were introduced to students. At the end of orientation program a faculty tour was given to new undergraduate students.

Dental examination and fluoride application at Mam Zawa Refugee Camp On Wednesday, November 9th, 2017, Mam Zawa was visited for the second time by the Pedodontics Department of the faculty of Dentistry. The visit included Pedodontic department staff and 5th-year dental students. While at the camp, dental examination, as well as fluoride application, was performed on the children. Camp administration appreciated the work put forth by Tishk International University staff and students and those involved will receive certificates and awards for their hard work.

  On November 1st from 9:30 am until 12:30 pm, the head of the Pedodontics department, Dr. Bushra as well as a group of dentists from Tishk International University in cooperation with TDH-Italy Mamzawa community center attended MamZawa Camp. The purpose of their visit was to assess the parents' knowledge of oral health in the camp through questionnaires and to prepare the families for future visits by dental students where their children's oral health will be examined.
