Baghdad Ishik School Visits Tishk International University

On February 1st and 2nd, 2023, three groups of students from Baghdad Ishik Primary, Secondary, and High School visited the Faculty of Dentistry at Tishk International University (TIU) with the aim of acquainting themselves with the campus, its various departments and specialties, as well as interacting with university staff, clinics and laboratories. On January 4th, 2023, the Dean of Students Office at the Faculty of Dentistry at Tishk International University (TIU) organized a trip for female staff to Bradost Mountain, Bestoon Cave, and Shaqlawa, which was supervised by the Director of Social Affairs and Guidance, Dr. Zeyneb Yalman. On January 26th, 2023, the Dean of Students Office at the Faculty of Dentistry at Tishk International University paid a visit to Sarkrda Primary School in Bahrka to distribute winter clothing. The project was organised and supervised by the representatives of the Dean of Students in the Faculty of Dentistry, Dr.Lava Sabr, Dr. Sara Sherzad, Dr. Safiya Basman and Mr Yusuf Siddiq. On January 22nd 2023, a group of 30 students and their teachers from Ishik Brayati Primary School visited the Faculty of Dentistry at Tishk International University. Another visit was conducted by a group of 45 students under the supervision of their teachers on January 25th, 2022. Basic Life Support Workshop

On January 18th, 2023, the Faculty of Dentistry at Tishk International University organised a workshop titled Basic Life Support: A Life-Saving Skill for university staff. The workshop was presented by Dr. Shaween Ziyad Talabani, Ph.D. (UK), Cardiologist. The workshop's objectives were to teach the participants the life-saving skills of a cardiac arrest patient, give high-quality chest compressions, and deliver appropriate ventilations. The Dean of Students in the Faculty of Dentistry at Tishk International University launched a table tennis tournament for faculty students on December 7th, 2022. The activity was supervised and arranged by Mr. Yusuf Sidiq, Representative of the Dean of Students at the Faculty of Dentistry. Table Tennis is a sport where two or four players hit a lightweight ball back and forth using table tennis rackets. The game is played on a hard table divided by a net. Under the direct supervision of Dr. Idris Hadi Salih, Head of the Board of Trustees at Tishk International University, and Dr. Duran Kala, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, a special committee was assigned to revise the BDS Program Curriculum and the course catalogues according to the European system of student workload and course credit calculation.
