Faculty of Dentistry Collaboration With WHO On November 28th, 2022, Dr. Duran Kala, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at Tishk International University, and Dr. Lezan Dawood, the Polyclinic Director, welcomed a delegation from the World Health Organisation (WHO) that visited TIU. The WHO delegation members included: Dr. Firas Al Khafaji, the officer responsible for the Expanded Program of Immunization (EPI), Dr. Alyaa Mohammed, the officer responsible for the Health Promotion Program, and Dr. Yade Hadi, the Area Coordinator of Erbil and Kirkuk Programs. Tishk International University organised a campus visit for the 12th-grade students of Aga Private School in Masif on the 21st of November, 2022. The purpose of the visit was to allow high school students to visit TIU and become acquainted with campus life and the departments available at the university. This was also an excellent opportunity to introduce the students to the university staff and participate in activities held at TIU. Providing Dental Care Service for RISE Primary School On November 1st,2022, a group of staff and fifth-stage students from the Faculty of Dentistry at Tishk International University visited Ronaki International School Erbil (RISE), KRG, as part of the School Dental Care Project. Dentistry Faculty Staff and Students Vaccinated against HBV On October 17th, 2022, a specialized team from the Ministry of Health, KRG, was invited by Dr. Lezan Dawood, the Polyclinic Director, to the Faculty of Dentistry at Tishk International University. This visit aimed to provide Anti-Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) vaccinations to staff and students of the Faculty of Dentistry. The vaccination procedure adhered to the World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines and was conducted under the supervision of specialized physicians in order to monitor any side effects or complications that may happen after vaccination.
