Dentistry Faculty in Tishk International University (TIU) ,Erbil, KRG, started the first Joint Master Program in collaboration with Hawler Medical University (HMU) in April, 2018. On December 3, 2020, Dentistry Faculty at Tishk International university arranged a visit to Erbil Governmental Orphanage House. Dr. Lezan Dawood, the Polyclinic Manager, Dr.Zainab Yalman, the Representative of Dean of Students Office, Dr. Bushra Rashid, the Chief of Pedodontic Department, and the academic staff of the Pedodontic department supervised a group of Fifth Grade students of Dentistry Faculty during the Activity. On December 1 ,2020, the Faculty of Dentistry in Tishk International University arranged a scientific trip to CMC hospital in Erbil, KRG.  The activity was arranged for a group of Fourth and Fifth grade Dentistry Students who are currently attending the Oral Diagnosis and Radiology Clinic under the supervision of Dr.Zainab Yalman, the representative of Dean of Students Office. The group visited the Radiology Unit of CMC Hospital, analyzed some X-rays and discussed some cases with Dr.Zainab Yalman. The visits to CMC Hospital is going to be repeated every week for Fourth and Fifth Grade students every Tuesday. Due to the Corona Virus (COVID-19) pandemic, Dentistry Faculty in Tishk International University upgraded the ventilation system of the Dental Polyclinic of the Faculty in Erbil-KRG, according to the instructions of the Ministry of Health of Kurdistan Regional Government. The central ventilation system is upgraded to an innovative high speed ,super silent ,high-quality system according to the international standards, as a means of prevention to protect the staff and students as well as the patients from being infected by corona virus and other airborne diseases. In a state of extreme sorrow and sadness , we announce the sudden death of Dr.Walaa Almola , a Dentistry Faculty staff in Tishk International University (COVID-19) on 7/11/2020. Dr.Walaa was one of the most active members of our faculty which served our university sincerely in addition to being a very good friend to everyone.During the years of his working, he was an exceptional lecturer in the faculty, and his dedication and efforts in organizing scientific conferences and community activities were highly appreciated.His unexpected death is a great loss to Tishk International University and to his family, friends and students [...]
